About the role
We are seeking an Account Executive (Tax & Compliance) to join ABANG USEDCAR SDN. BHD. in Puchong, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in managing our tax and compliance operations. As Account Executive, you will be responsible for ensuring that our organisation maintains full compliance with all relevant tax regulations and statutory requirements whilst providing strategic tax advisory services. This role is integral to our financial governance and directly supports the organisation's ability to operate efficiently and compliantly across all jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and review tax returns and compliance filings to ensure accuracy and timely submission to relevant tax authorities

Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulations to ensure the company remains compliant with all current requirements

Manage tax planning strategies and provide recommendations to minimise tax liability whilst maintaining compliance

Maintain and organise tax documentation and records in accordance with statutory requirements and internal policies

Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants and government agencies regarding tax matters and compliance issues

Prepare tax analysis reports and compliance documentation for management review

Assist with the coordination of tax audits and respond to tax authority inquiries

Support the development and implementation of tax and compliance policies within the organisation

Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure proper coding of transactions for tax purposes

Provide guidance to other departments on tax compliance requirements and best practices

1. Tax Planning & Compliance

Assist in corporate tax planning and legally reducing tax liabilities.

Prepare documentation for tax agents and auditors.

Handle SST and e-Invoicing compliance where applicable.

Coordinate tax estimates and statutory deadlines.

2. SQL Accounting & Documentation

Maintain up-to-date transactions in SQL Accounting.

Key in sales invoices, purchases, expenses and payments.

Prepare and organise supporting documents.

Perform monthly bank reconciliations.

3. Monthly Accounting Closing

Close accounts monthly, ideally by the 4th of the following month.

Prepare monthly profit and loss statements.

Prepare balance sheets and cash flow reports.

Reconcile supplier, customer and intercompany balances.
