Job summary

Kudrat Maritime Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an Account Executive based in Pulau Indah, Selangor. This full-time role focuses on bookkeeping and client accounts, delivering accurate financial records and essential accounting support for our maritime clients.

You will manage accounts payable/receivable, prepare financial statements, perform reconciliations, and assist with tax compliance while maintaining data integrity.

Qualifications

• Qualification in accounting, bookkeeping or related financial discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in bookkeeping, accounts management or small practice accounting environments.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
• Strong numerical aptitude with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Professional communication skills and ability to interact with clients.
• Ability to work independently whilst being a supportive team member.
• Maritime or shipping industry accounting knowledge is advantageous.
• Certifications such as AAT or LCCI desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain organised filing systems and ensure compliance with data management protocols
• Assist with tax compliance and regulatory filing requirements as needed

About the role

We are seeking an Account Executive to join our team at Kudrat Maritime Malaysia Sdn Bhd, based in Pulau Indah, Selangor. This is a full‑time position that offers an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise within the bookkeeping and small practice accounting sector. As an Account Executive, you will play a crucial role in managing client accounts, ensuring accurate financial records, and providing essential accounting support to our valued clients. This position is integral to our operations, allowing you to make a meaningful contribution to the financial wellbeing of our clients whilst building a rewarding career in maritime accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate financial records for assigned client accounts
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements, general ledgers, and trial balances
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with precision and attention to detail

What we’re looking for

• Qualification in accounting, bookkeeping or a related financial discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounts management or small practice accounting environments
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Strong numerical aptitude with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and regulatory requirements
• Excellent organisational and time management skills to manage multiple client accounts
• Professional communication skills and ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues
• Ability to work independently whilst being a supportive team member
• Familiarity with maritime or shipping industry accounting practices is advantageous
• Professional accounting certifications (such as AAT, LCCI or equivalent) are desirable
