Uni-Vessel Engineering (B’Worth) Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks an Account Executive to join the accounting department on a full-time basis in Tasek, Simpang Ampat. You will manage client/supplier accounts, maintain accurate records and provide essential bookkeeping support.

The role requires ACCA or equivalent and 2–4 years of bookkeeping experience, with strong Autocount and Excel skills. High integrity and confidentiality are essential, with opportunity for professional development.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain client and supplier accounting records, invoicing, expenses and reconciliations.
• Prepare and process monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable accurately and timely.
• Assist with tax preparation and ensure SST/e-Invoice compliance.
• Maintain secure client/supplier files (digital and physical).
• Communicate professionally with clients to clarify financial information.
• Assist during audits and prepare audit documentation when required.
• Identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.

About the role

We are seeking an Account Executive to join Uni-Vessel Engineering (B'Worth) Sdn Bhd on a full-time basis in Tasek, Simpang Ampat, Penang. This is a pivotal role within our accounting department, where you will be responsible for managing client / supplier accounts, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing essential bookkeeping support.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and maintain client/ supplier accounting records, including invoicing, expense tracking and reconciliation
• Prepare and process monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports
• Conduct bank reconciliations and identify and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness
• Assist with tax preparation and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and deadlines
• Maintain organized and secure client/ supplier files, both digital and physical, in accordance with data protection standards
• Communicate professionally with client/ supplier to clarify financial information and resolve queries
• Support the preparation of audit documentation and assist during external audits when required
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and suggest cost‑saving measures
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing procedures

What we're looking for

• A recognized accounting qualification such as ACCA, or equivalent, or relevant accounting certifications
• Proven experience working in a bookkeeping or small practice accounting environment, ideally 2-4 years
• Strong proficiency with accounting software packages (Autocount) and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy when managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
• Sound knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards (MPERS), tax regulations (SST / e‑Invoice) and compliance requirements
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and team members
• A proactive approach to problem‑solving and continuous improvement
• High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
