Job summary

Kudrat Maritime Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an Account Executive based in Pulau Indah, Selangor. This full-time role focuses on bookkeeping and client accounts, delivering accurate financial records and essential accounting support for our maritime clients.

You will manage accounts payable/receivable, prepare financial statements, perform reconciliations, and assist with tax compliance while maintaining data integrity.

Qualifications

• Qualification in accounting, bookkeeping or related financial discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in bookkeeping, accounts management or small practice accounting environments.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
• Strong numerical aptitude with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Professional communication skills and ability to interact with clients.
• Ability to work independently whilst being a supportive team member.
• Maritime or shipping industry accounting knowledge is advantageous.
• Certifications such as AAT or LCCI desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate financial records for assigned client accounts
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements, general ledgers, and trial balances
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with precision and attention to detail
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Conduct account reconciliations and liaise with clients to gather necessary financial documentation and information
• Support the resolution of account queries and issues raised by clients
• Maintain organised filing systems and ensure compliance with data management protocols
• Assist with tax compliance and regulatory filing requirements as needed
• Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes and procedures
