Job summary

Syazna World is seeking an Accounts Executive in Malaysia to manage full sets of accounts for a manufacturing operation. You will handle AP/AR, GL entries, month-end close, budgeting, and internal audits, while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The role requires a diploma or bachelor’s in accounting/finance, proficiency with accounting software, and strong analytical skills. Prior manufacturing exposure and cost accounting knowledge are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience as Accounts Executive or similar in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office.
• Experience handling full sets of accounts is essential.
• Exposure to manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional certification (ACCA/CPA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting tasks including AP/AR, GL entries, and bank reconciliations.

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including financial statements, reports, and schedules.
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Handle taxation matters, including the preparation and filing of SST returns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate cost accounting and inventory valuation.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, highlighting trends, issues, and opportunities.
• Provide support during external audits and liaise with auditors as necessary.
• Stay updated with accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
