Job summary

Sunrise Shares (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a competent finance professional to manage a full set of accounts and ensure timely monthly closings. You will prepare management accounts, reconcile banks, and monitor debtors and creditors with accurate records.

The role requires strong knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Professional certificates or degrees in Finance/Accountancy/Banking.

Responsibilities

• Manage full set of accounts, including reconciliation and debtors/creditors statements.
• Close monthly accounts and submit management accounts on time.
• Prepare monthly reconciliation statements and financial statements.
• Prepare budgets and manage ledgers and reports.
• Ensure timely payment of invoices and staff claims.
• Maintain accounting records, documentation and filing.
• Perform other duties as required by supervisor.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Managing accounting system for companies including preparation of a full set of accounts, bank account reconciliation and debtors and/or creditors statements.
• Perform monthly closing of accounts and timely submission of monthly management accounts.
• Prepare monthly reconciliation statement records.
• Preparing and maintaining monthly accurate financial statements and accounts, budgeting and managing ledgers report on timely manner.
• To be able to compile accounts information, analyse accurate accounting options and ensure accurate and maintenance of financial records
• Ensure payments of invoices for all purchases and timely payment of staff claims disbursement.
• Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records, documentation and filing of the records.
• To undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as required by the superior.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
• Good knowledge in accounting standards, internal control policy and procedure.
• Good analytical skills and accurate in details.
• Excellent interpersonal and able to communicate with all levels.
• Responsible and reliable, able to work independently, committed and meet deadlines
• Computer literate and familiar in Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel, Words, Outlook.
• Proficient in accounting software
• Preferable with 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field.
