Job summary

Orient Biotech Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our accounting team in Serendah, Selangor. You will manage client accounts and deliver financial services, serving as the liaison between clients and our accounting services with professionalism and precision.

The role requires a diploma/degree in accounting or finance, 3-5 years of relevant experience, proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel, and strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and tax

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or small practice accounting
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and tax regulations
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple client accounts
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Professional demeanour and a commitment to confidentiality
• Professional accounting qualifications (ACCA, LCCI, or equivalent) are preferred but not essential

Responsibilities

• Managing and maintaining a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely account reconciliations
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements, trial balances, and general ledger accounts
• Processing invoices, expenses, and payroll transactions with accuracy and attention to detail
• Conducting bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies promptly
• Providing bookkeeping support including accounts payable and accounts receivable management
• Assisting with tax preparation and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements
• Communicating regularly with clients to provide updates on their accounts and address any queries or concerns
• Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional accounting standards and ethics
• Supporting the senior accounting team with special projects and ad hoc accounting duties as required
