Job summary

Fast Energy Holdings Berhad is seeking an accounting clerk to perform general bookkeeping and prepare full set accounts for SMEs, including A/R, A/P, stock, cashbook and GL entries. Daily tasks include invoicing, bank reconciliations and vendor payments, with support for audits and tax submissions.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of accounting experience or internship, proficiency in MS Office, and excellent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform general bookkeeping and prepare full set accounts for SMEs.
• Handle invoices, debit/credit notes, purchase orders, statements, and bank reconciliations.
• Monitor billing accuracy and reconcile customer/supplier ledgers.
• Prepare supplier payments and monthly operating expenses.
• Maintain cashbook and liaise with other departments on finance matters.
• Support external audits, tax reporting and government submissions.
• Undertake assignments as required by management.

Job description

Perform general bookkeeping and prepare full set accounts for small medium size companies which include data entry and preparation of all documentation relating to Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Stock, Cashbook and General Ledger. Training will be provided.

To perform daily accounting operations : prepare invoices, debit/credit notes, purchase orders, statement of accounts, bank reconciliation, vendor registration and etc

Review and highlight abnormalities of customers' and suppliers' billing/quotation to superior with necessary reconciliation

Monitor billings and jobs’ margin and supplier costs

To prepare payment to supplier and monthly operating expenses

To prepare Directors’ claim by monthly basis and check staff claim

To update a cashbook on daily basis, which includes payment and receipt

To maintain proper and accurate accounts records and filings

To liaise with other departments on finance and accounts related matters

Assist finance and administrative duties when required

Providing support or assistance for external audit, tax reporting and submission of government returns

To undertake any assignments as required by superior and management.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidates should have minimum SPM or Diploma in finance, accounting, business administration, or related experience during internship on finance or accounting are preferable.

Minimum 1 - 2 years experience.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Proficiency in additional languages will be an added advantage.

Strong organizational skills and meticulous and able to manage multi tasks effectively.

Excellent knowledge and practical experience in MS Office are preferable.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision and able to meet deadlines.
