Job summary

TSL GLOBAL TRADE SDN BHD in Johor, Skudai, is seeking an experienced accountant to oversee full-set accounts, including AP, AR, GL, and cash book. You will verify invoices, perform reconciliations, and prepare financial statements to support business decisions.

You should have 2–4 years of hands-on accounting experience, be proficient in common accounting software, and possess strong English and Bahasa Melayu communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience managing full-set accounts.
• Proficient in accounting software: SQL Accounting, AutoCount, UBS, QuickBooks, SAP.
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and financial formulas.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian standards (MFRS/PERS), SST/LHDN, and e-Invoicing.

Responsibilities

• Manage full accounting operations (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Cash Book).
• Verify and reconcile Supplier Invoices (AP) and Sales Invoices (AR) to ensure accuracy.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and account reconciliations in a timely manner.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end Financial Statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to assist management decisions.
• Ensure accurate monthly close and tax compliance (SST/LHDN e-Invoicing).
• Liaise with External Auditors and Tax Agents for audits and tax submissions.
• Monitor daily and monthly company cash flow and manage payments.

Job description

This role involves managing the complete spectrum of accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Cash Book. You will verify and reconcile supplier and sales invoices, perform monthly bank reconciliations, prepare financial statements, conduct variance analysis, manage taxation and statutory compliance, and oversee cash flow and financial administration.

Key responsibilities

Manage and maintain complete accounting operations (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Cash Book)

Verify and reconcile Supplier Invoices (Accounts Payable) and Sales Invoices (Accounts Receivable) to ensure accuracy

Perform monthly bank reconciliations and account reconciliations in a timely manner

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end Financial Statements (Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement)

Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to assist management in financial decision-making

Ensure accurate and timely closure of monthly accounting records according to set deadlines

Prepare necessary documentation and submissions for Sales and Services Tax (SST) and LHDN e-Invoicing requirements

Liaise with External Auditors and Tax Agents for annual audit closing and corporate tax submission

Monitor and manage daily and monthly company cash flow

Process supplier/vendor payments and handle staff expense claims and petty cash management

About you

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification

Minimum 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in managing full-set accounts

Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SQL Accounting, AutoCount, UBS, QuickBooks, or SAP)

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and financial formulas)

Strong understanding of Malaysian accounting standards (MFRS/PERS), tax regulations (SST/LHDN), and current e-Invoicing implementations

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu

High attention to detail, strong integrity, and trustworthy

Able to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines
