Job summary

Private Advertiser in Labuan is seeking an Account Executive to lead the finance team and oversee day-to-day accounting and financial activities. The role includes budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and timely reporting of accounts, with coordination with auditors and tax agents.

Ideal candidates will have a Diploma in Accounting and at least 5 years of related experience, strong MS Office skills, familiarity with Autocount systems, and the ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting or equivalent.
• Familiar with Autocount Accounting system and Payroll system.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting/finance.
• Able to write and speak average English & BM.
• Possess a valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• Manage the finance team to ensure the day-to-day operation of overall accounting & financial activities.
• Prepare and manage budget and cash flow forecasts to control cost and improve financial performance.
• Attend timely reporting of full set of accounts, management reports and cash flows with analysis.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, authorities and other parties on financial matters.
• Ensure timely submission of monthly reports for management review and payroll delivery.
• Maintain internal controls and compliance with regulatory laws for financial, statutory, audit and tax reporting.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of internal control systems and procedures.

Job description

An Account Executive role in a well-established hotel operator in Labuan, managing the finance team to ensure the day-to-day operation of overall accounting and financial activities.

Key responsibilities

Manage the finance team to ensure the day-to-day operation of overall accounting & financial activities

Prepare and manage budget and cash flow forecasts to control cost and improve the overall financial performance

Attend to timely reporting of full set of accounts, management reports and cash flows and comprehensive analysis on all management accounting information

Liaison with auditors, tax agents, authorities and other parties on matters related financial requirements

Timely submission of monthly report for management review

Timely submission & payment of Tax

Ensure internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with regulatory laws and rules for financial, statutory, audit and tax reporting

Be responsible for continuous improvement and formulation of internal control system and procedures

Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate delivery of payroll

Ensure timelines are met for salary disbursement and statutory compliance

About you

Must possess at least a Diploma in Accounting or its equivalent

Familiar with Microsoft Office, Autocount Accounting system, Autocount Payroll System, Employment Act 1955 and Malaysian Statutory Act will be an added advantage

Possess mature personality, strong leadership and able to work with all levels of staff in the organization

Positive work attitude, punctual, reliable, responsible, willing to work longer hours, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position

Possess valid driving license

Able to write and speak average English & BM
