Job summary

Technomeiji Rubber in Malaysia is seeking an Accounts Assistant to support the Head of Accounts & Finance in preparing and recording the company’s assets, liabilities, revenue and expenses. The role involves compiling and analysing accounts information and assisting with monthly and yearly closings.

You will ensure compliance with the Malaysian Accounting Standards, maintain confidentiality, and communicate with related parties. Diploma in Accountancy with 2+ years of experience is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related work experience.
• Familiarity with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel in full set of accounts.
• Able to work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Accounts & Finance in ensuring records comply with policies and statutory requirements.
• Maintain records of assets, liabilities, revenue and expenses for timely closing.
• Prepare and analyze the full set of accounts and monthly/ yearly closings.
• Ensure Accounts Payable, Receivable, General Ledger and journals are accurate.
• Communicate openly with related parties while handling assigned duties.

Provide assistance to the Head of Accounts and Finance in the preparation and recording of the company’s assets, liability, revenue and expenses by compiling and analyzing its account and sales information.

Upholding professional integrity in the preparation of the company’s monthly and yearly closing, including the supporting role in preparation of the company’s full sets of accounts.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist the Head of Accounts & Finance in ensuring that the accounting records and system are in compliance with Company’s policies and the Malaysian Accounting Standards and Statutory requirements. This include upholding confidentiality of the company’s information as required by the law.

Ensuring that all the company’s financial and accounting transactions including its records of assets, liability, revenue and expenses are kept in order, timely and accuracy, towards assisting in the preparation of its full set of accounts.

Ensuring that the functions and processes of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and related Journal entries are executed in accordance to the Company’s policies and best industry practices.

Ensuring an open and dynamic communication channels to liaise and communicate with all related parties in the course of performing assigned duties.

Job Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least an Diploma in Accountancy or its equivalent.

At least 2 years of related working experience, (Familiarity in the Accounting System and Microsoft Excel in the preparation of a full sets of Accounts is an added advantage).

Able to work under tight deadline, meticulous, proactive, multitasking in a fast-pace environment, has a sense of responsibility, excellent problem-solving skills and able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Possess good interpersonal and communication skills with good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Able to work closely with other members of the organization.
