Job summary

SOONHUP LICHENG SDN BHD is seeking a responsible Finance & Accounts Executive to manage the company’s day-to-day accounting activities in Kulai, Johor. You will work closely with management to ensure accurate financial records, timely payments and collections, and proper financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in accounting/finance.
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
• Experience handling full set of accounts is an added advantage.
• Familiar with accounting software such as SQL or Autocount or other accounting systems.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Handle full sets of accounts, including AP, AR, GL and month-end closing.
• Record and maintain daily accounting transactions accurately and systematically.
• Prepare and process supplier invoices, customer invoices, payment vouchers, receipts and credit notes.
• Monitor and follow up on customer collections and outstanding payments.
• Process supplier payments and monitor accounts payable and payment schedules.
• Perform bank reconciliations, supplier/customer reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, financial reports and cash flow reports.
• Monitor the company's cash flow, bank balances and daily financial position.
• Prepare payment schedules and provide cash flow updates to management.
• Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting and variance analysis.

Job description

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Finance & Accounts Executive to manage the company's day-to-day accounting and financial activities. The successful candidate will work closely with management to ensure accurate financial records, timely payments and collections, and proper financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

Handle full sets of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL) and month-end closing

Record and maintain daily accounting transactions accurately and systematically

Prepare and process supplier invoices, customer invoices, payment vouchers, receipts and credit notes

Monitor and follow up on customer collections and outstanding payments

Process supplier payments and monitor accounts payable and payment schedules

About you

Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

At least 2–4 years of relevant accounting/finance experience, preferably in an SME or construction/manufacturing environment

Experience in handling full set accounts is an added advantage

Familiar with accounting software such as SQL or Autocount or other accounting systems

Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office

Good analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills

Meticulous, responsible and able to work independently

Able to meet deadlines and handle confidential financial information
