Job summary

Selat Capital SDN.BHD is seeking an Account Assistant in Kuala Lumpur to support day-to-day accounting tasks, including journal vouchers, AP, and preparing monthly financial statements.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma/Degree in Accounting with at least 1.5 years of experience; fresh graduates are welcome. You will report to senior management in a friendly, collaborative environment with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 1.5 years of accounting experience
• Fresh-graduate are welcome to apply
• Able to prepare a full set of accounts with minimal supervision
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal vouchers, debit notes, credit notes, and fixed asset records
• Handle accounts payable, including cheque issuance and online banking payments
• Assist in preparing full sets of accounts and monthly financial statements
• Prepare monthly/quarterly reports and process e-Invoices
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, and internal IT team
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned
