We are seeking an Account Assistant / Account Executive to join the accounting team at WAI FOOD SDN BHD. This is a full-time position based in Ampang, Selangor. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial health of our organisation by managing day-to-day accounting operations and supporting the wider finance function. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, processing transactions, and providing timely financial information to support business decision-making. Key responsibilities

• Recording and processing financial transactions including invoices, receipts, and expense claims in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy of financial records
• Preparing bank reconciliations and investigating discrepancies between bank statements and accounting records
• Supporting the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including payment processing and invoice follow-up
• Assisting with payroll administration and employee expense reimbursements
• Verify Cash Reimbursement
• Performing data entry and maintaining comprehensive filing systems for financial documentation
• Supporting internal and external audit processes by preparing required documentation and schedules
• Liaising with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding account inquiries and billing matters

What we’re looking for

• Minimum SPM, 1-2 years experience will be preferably
• Fresh graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply
• Command of verbal and written Chinese, and Malaysian is essential
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate financial records and identify discrepancies
• Competence in accounts payable and accounts receivable management
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Professional communication skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders
• Reliability, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential financial information
• Willingness to learn and develop accounting skills with professional growth aspirations
• Preferably, previous experience working in the food industry or manufacturing sector
