Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia (Miri) is hiring an Accountant to manage the full set of accounts and day-to-day financial operations.

You will handle payroll, timely statutory submissions, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports, coordinating with Sales, Purchasing and Operations.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma in Accounting, 3–5 years' experience, strong software skills, and immediate availability by December 2026.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting or equivalent.
• 3–5 years' experience handling full set of accounts.
• Good interpersonal skills and team player.
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Office.
• Experience in construction, property development or trading preferred.
• Immediately available by Dec 2026.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts and daily accounting operations.
• Support overall finance and accounting activities.
• Ensure accurate, timely closing of management accounts.
• Process payroll and statutory submissions on time.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and monthly management reports.
• Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts for treasury.
• Collaborate with sales, purchasing and operations teams.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers and authorities.
• Take on ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Handle full set of accounts and manage day to day accounting operation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support in the overall Finance & Accounting activities
• Responsible for accurate and timely closing of management account
• Process payroll and ensure timely statutory submissions
• Preparation of budgeting and forecasting financial activities, monthly report
• Prepare weekly cash flow forecast for treasury management
• Work with various internal stakeholder of business (i.e: Sales, Purchasing and Operations etc)
• Liaise with auditor, tax agent, company secretary and bankers and government authorities
• Other ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time by management

About you

• Minimum Diploma Accounting or any equivalent qualification
• Preferably minimum 3 - 5 years working experience in handling full set of accounts
• Good interpersonal skills, self-motivated, meticulous, team player and possesses self-initiative
• Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
• Prior industry experience in construction, property development and trading is preferred
• Able to start immediately not later than December 2026
