We are looking for an energetic English teaching professional and academic leader to serve as our Academic Coordinator. The ideal candidate will combine active teaching expertise with creative leadership to oversee curriculum quality, mentor teachers in experiential learning techniques, design engaging assessments, and ensure our students achieve their learning goals.
Academic & Curriculum Leadership: Oversee the delivery and quality standards of English language courses, ensuring alignment with global standards (CEFR, IELTS, General/Business English) through interactive, experiential learning methods.
Creative Curriculum Innovation: Review, update, and design course materials to keep lessons fun, dynamic, creative, and out-of-the-box.
Teacher Mentorship & Training: Assist in recruiting, onboarding, observing, and mentoring teaching staff, encouraging them to adopt engaging, student-centered, hands-on learning strategies.
Student Placement & Academic Tracking: Conduct placement tests, track student progression, provide academic counseling, and address feedback to ensure an enjoyable learning journey.
Scheduling & Operations: Manage class timetables, teacher allocations, classroom usage, and substitute arrangements for teacher absences.
Assessment & Certification: Coordinate the design, administration, grading, and recording of internal tests, examinations, and course certificates.
Inter-Departmental Collaboration: Coordinate closely with administrative and operational teams to align student intake, enrollment, and operational needs.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education, TESL/TEFL, English Language Studies, Applied Linguistics, or a related field.
Professional Teaching Certificate: Valid teaching qualification required (CELTA, CertTESOL, TEFL with minimum 120 hours, or equivalent).
Teaching & Admin Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years of direct ESL/EFL teaching experience, ideally paired with experience in academic administration or curriculum design.
Mindset & Approach: Passionate about experiential learning with a proven ability to bring fresh, creative, and engaging concepts into language education.
English Proficiency: Native or near-native command of spoken and written English.
Mandarin Proficiency: Spoken fluency in Mandarin is a strong advantage / big plus to effectively communicate with our primary demographic of PRC students and parents.
