Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a technically proficient Facilities Technician to lead a team and ensure the continued operation of building services in Bukit Mertajam, Malaysia. The role covers preventive maintenance, safety checks, and supervision of contractors to meet client standards.

The ideal candidate will hold a Chargeman A4 certificate, have 5–10 years of facilities experience, and be fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage a team of Technicians to ensure the building services and facilities equipment's are working in a good condition.
• Carry out repairs and preventive maintenance work in accordance with the plan.
• Monitor third party contractors and ensure adherence to the safe and legal routines.
• Conduct safe and legal routine checks as per Health and Safety Policy.
• Maintain equipment according to the risk assessment standards and act quickly on any issues.
• Maintain engineering store area and plant rooms to ensure tidiness and safe access.
• Perform routine inspection every 3 hours.
• Monitor contractor.
• Perform minor trouble shooting.
• Maintain all electrical and operations equipment.
• Maintain fire life safety system operations.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.

EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATIONS KEY COMPETENCIES

• Chargeman A4 Certificate by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission)
• Minimum 5-10 years' experience in facilities management or building operations with knowledge of maintenance and services.
• Customer oriented, a team player, able to work independently and good interpersonal & leadership skills
• Able to work under pressure and in a fast-changing environment
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English
• Willing to work on shifts/public holidays/weekends
