Ford of Mexico's Chassis Engineering team at GTBC in Mexico City is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to own the design, validation, and production release of wheel, tire, and jack systems for key global programs. You will lead the end-to-end lifecycle from concept to post-launch, partnering with cross‑functional teams and suppliers to influence safety, handling, and weight efficiency.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of automotive design, chassis, or product release experience.
• Knowledge of product development milestones, BOM, and release processes.
• Experience in Design Verification Plans and Reports (DVP&R) and physical testing.
• Familiarity with DFMEA and 8D root-cause methodologies.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration and analytical skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end‑to‑end design and release for wheel, tire, and jack systems.
• Own BOM and change control across vehicle programs.
• Develop and execute DVP&R to meet specs and targets.
• Drive cost, weight, and craftsmanship optimization.
• Collaborate with sourcing and global suppliers for feasibility and quality.
• Support assembly plants during prototypes and launches.
