Ford of Mexico's Global Technology and Business Center (GTBC) in Mexico City leads wheel, tire, and jack systems design for key programs. You will own the end-to-end component lifecycle—from digital design and prototyping to plant launch—collaborating with global partners and suppliers to influence safety, dynamics, weight, and craftsmanship.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Automotive engineering and 2–4 years in mechanical design, with experience in BOM, DFMEA, and DVP&R.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
• 2–4 years of automotive engineering experience in mechanical component design or chassis systems.
• Experience in BOM, DVP&R, and design validation with DFMEA knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end design and release for wheel, tire, and jack systems across vehicle programs.
• Manage BOM and change control processes to ensure configuration discipline.
• Develop and execute DVP&R programs meeting design specs and safety targets.
• Optimize design for mass, cost, tooling, and quality.
• Collaborate with Sourcing and global suppliers; define ESOWs and technical reviews.
• Work with assembly plants during prototype builds and launches to resolve issues.
