Job summary

Halliburton is seeking a Well Engineer II for Ciudad del Carmen, MX. This role focuses on implementing processes for well engineering and intervention, ensuring technical integrity in operations planning and execution, and managing AFE cost control to meet program goals.

The candidate should hold a STEM bachelor's degree (preferring Petroleum or Mechanical) and bring 6+ years of well services experience, with Well Control certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM required; Petroleum/Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Solid experience in well engineering and well operations, including drilling, completion, or intervention.
• Strong knowledge of well design, drilling hydraulics, casing design, cementing, drilling fluids, and directional drilling.
• Experience with risk assessments, mitigation actions, and cost control (AFE) is essential.
• Experience preparing End of Well Reports and technical documentation; well control certification.
• Offshore experience is a plus; intermediate to advanced English preferred for technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Implement processes for proposals, Basis of Design, and Operation Programs for well engineering or intervention.
• Ensure technical integrity of operations planning and execution; drive lessons learned into future operations.
• Oversee AFE creation and cost control; forecast medium and long-term needs to meet programs.
• Coordinate daily morning meetings; anticipate operational changes and revise plans accordingly.
• Prepare equipment lists and identify long lead items; ensure safety and environmental compliance.
