Job summary

Ford México is seeking an Intern in Vehicle Power Systems Modeling & Energy Optimization within the Ford Champs Program. You will help advance vehicle electrical efficiency and energy management across our connected and electrified lineup.

In this collaborative systems engineering role, you will analyze feature electrical loads, build simulation models, and create traceability between requirements and energy data to maximize battery life.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed a relevant bachelor’s degree.
  • Foundational understanding of vehicle electrical architectures.
  • Experience organizing engineering data with spreadsheets.
  • Ability to document models and reports clearly.
  • Strong teamwork across multidisciplinary groups.

Responsibilities

  • Model electrical power consumption and energy budgets across feature states.
  • Establish traceability between requirements, tests, MBSE architectures and data.
  • Collect and analyze empirical electrical load data from testing.
  • Assist in designing MBSE models for low-voltage networks.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate power specs and DFMEA.
  • Help standardize workflows for projecting vehicle power loads.
