Job summary

EDAG Engineering GmbH in Mexico is looking for a Vehicle Electrical Test Engineer to maintain, update, and document test benches and test vehicles, ensuring reliability of electrical systems.

You will adapt and commission Vector CANoe simulations for test benches, perform bench and vehicle tests, analyze measurement data, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues. Fluency in English is required; German desirable; 1+ year automotive experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Automotive Mechanics, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Over 1 year of experience in the automotive industry.
• Experience diagnosing electrical faults in vehicles.
• Knowledge of CANBUS, ECU control units, and CANoe.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, updating, and documentation of test benches / test vehicles
• Adaptation, commissioning, and use of Vector CANoe simulation for test benches
• Testing of vehicle interconnection
• Evaluation of measurement data
• Execution of bench and vehicle tests for electrical/electronic systems
• Execution of software update tests on control units
• Execution of bench tests for quiescent current and vehicle instrumentation to obtain electric current and voltage readings
• Troubleshooting of hardware and software for vehicles and test benches
• Documentation and management of identified faults
