Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Mexican VAT Law.

• Availability to travel to Monterrey twice per month.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file VAT refunds, monthly tax payments, and electronic accounting submissions.
• Perform VAT account reconciliations and ensure compliance with Mexican GAAP and tax regulations.
• Respond to government tax inquiries and support tax audits.
• Maintain tax audit documentation and extract financial data from SAP for tax reporting purposes.
• Prepare and submit required tax and informative returns, including DIOT and other statutory filings.
• Provide VAT and tax accounting guidance to Mexican plants and support compliance with state and federal obligations.
• Support additional tax reporting requirements, including annual returns, INEGI reports, AML filings, and Ministry of Economy reports.

Your Contribution:

As a VAT Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring tax compliance, supporting VAT and tax reporting activities, maintaining accurate records, and providing guidance to manufacturing plants on tax-related matters.

• Prepare and file VAT refunds, monthly tax payments (VAT, Income Tax, and withholding taxes), and electronic accounting submissions.
• Perform VAT account reconciliations and ensure compliance with Mexican GAAP and tax regulations.
• Respond to government tax inquiries and support internal and external tax audits.
• Maintain tax audit documentation and extract financial data from SAP for tax reporting purposes.
• Prepare and submit required tax and informative returns, including DIOT and other statutory filings.
• Provide VAT and tax accounting guidance to Mexican plants and support compliance with state and federal obligations.
• Support additional tax reporting requirements, including annual returns, INEGI reports, Anti-Money Laundering filings, and Ministry of Economy reports.

Your Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• 4+ years of experience in tax and/or accounting roles.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, specifically SAP (required).
• Knowledge of Mexican Value Added Tax (VAT) Law.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Availability to travel to Monterrey twice per month.
