Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Customs & Trade Compliance Trainee for the STEM in Action Program in Mexico City. You will gain hands‑on exposure to regulatory processes, support broker coordination, audits, and documentation, developing analytical and risk‑awareness capabilities under supervision.

The role focuses on learning, collaboration with the Customs team, and contributing to compliance activities while building experience in international trade and risk management.

Qualifications

• English proficiency at a professional working level.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, organisation.
• Ability to work with supervision, follow instructions, communicate clearly, collaborate with others.

Responsibilities

• Support activities related to customs regulatory processes and trade‑compliance requirements.
• Assist with customs broker coordination and follow‑up of required information, documentation, and pending actions.
• Support CTPAT‑related activities and the preparation, organisation, or review of supporting records.
• Assist the team during internal audit processes by collecting, organising, and tracking requested documentation and evidence.
• Follow up on assigned projects, action items, controls, and deadlines, escalating questions or risks when appropriate.
• Maintain trackers, files, reports, and customs‑related records accurately and in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external service providers under the guidance of the Customs team.
• Support additional operational, analytical, and administrative activities required by the Customs department.
