Emerson is seeking a skilled Tool Room/Tool Crib Manager to lead daily operations, ensure tool availability, and optimize inventories and processes. You will supervise tool assembly and presetting for CNC centers, drive cost reductions, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

A strong background in tooling, ERP systems, and Kaizen is essential for success. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in engineering and 5+ years of supervisory experience in tooling.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, mechanical or electrical engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience managing a Tool Room/Tool Crib.
  • Advance conversational English.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and tooling management.

Responsabilidades

  • Manage and supervise daily operations of Tool Room and Tool Crib.
  • Ensure timely availability of tools, fixtures, and equipment for production schedules.
  • Manage inventories of cutting tools, inserts, tool holders, gauges, fixtures, and consumables.
  • Establish and maintain minimum and maximum inventory levels.
  • Coordinate procurement of tooling, equipment, and related services.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery, and technical support with suppliers.
  • Supervise tool assembly, presetting, and preparation for CNC centers.
  • Monitor and control tool life via tooling management systems and performance analysis.
  • Implement tooling optimization programs to reduce costs and boost productivity.
  • Develop tooling databases, parameters, and specifications.
  • Coordinate repair, maintenance, and calibration of tooling and measurement equipment.
  • Ensure proper identification, storage, traceability, and handling of tooling assets.
  • Provide technical support to Production, Manufacturing Engineering, and Maintenance regarding tooling.
  • Participate in new product introductions and process development.
  • Lead tooling cost reduction and productivity initiatives.
  • Implement continuous improvement to optimize setup times and tool changes.
  • Monitor and analyze departmental performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Manage, coach, and develop personnel in Tool Room/Tool Crib.
  • Promote workplace organization and 5S housekeeping.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise tool assembly, presetting, and preparation for CNC machining centers.

  • Develop and maintain tooling databases, cutting parameters, and tooling specifications.
