Parker Hannifin is seeking a hands-on Tool Crib and Tool Shop Supervisor in Toluca, Mexico. You will lead inventory administration, tooling support, and tool shop coordination for cutting tools and raw materials used in manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities include budget and KPI oversight, cross-functional coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, tool crib, tool shop, inventory control, production support, or related environments.
  • Previous experience supervising teams, coordinating daily priorities, or leading improvement initiatives is preferred.
  • Blueprint and technical information interpretation.
  • Working knowledge of machine tools and CNC processes.
  • Physical inventory control and inventory accuracy practices.
  • Basic mechanics and industrial design concepts.
  • Problem-solving methodologies.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Knowledge of 6S and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Experience with JDE, SharePoint, and Power BI is preferred.
  • Intermediate English proficiency.
  • Strategic planning and prioritization.
  • Strong problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to lead work teams and coordinate priorities in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to drive accountability, follow up on action plans, and support continuous improvement.

Responsabilidades

  • Supervise cutting tool inventory operations required for production, ensuring availability, accuracy, and service levels aligned with operational needs.
  • Oversee purchase order creation in JDE for process tooling and raw materials required for tool manufacturing.
  • Lead tooling consumption analysis to identify trends, prevent shortages, reduce production downtime, and support corrective actions.
  • Control consignment tool inventory, including usage tracking, replenishment, inventory accuracy, and supplier coordination.
  • Manage the tooling consumption budget across consignment tools, purchased tools, and internally manufactured tooling, ensuring alignment with financial guidelines.
  • Coordinate manufacturing orders for missing or required tools based on production priorities, demand, and tool shop capacity.
  • Supervise raw material inventory used in cutting tool manufacturing to support timely tool shop execution.
  • Control and administer process documentation, including mounting layouts, part drawings, and tool requisition forms, ensuring accuracy and proper revision control.
  • Partner with Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing to support material or service requirements and identify opportunities to improve tooling performance, equipment efficiency, and process capability.
  • Generate, review, and administer departmental performance indicators, including Budget, BoxScore, activity reports, Power BI dashboards, annual physical inventory results, and tool setup tracking and traceability.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Tool Crib and Tool Shop Supervisor to lead inventory administration, tooling support, and tool shop coordination for cutting tools, process tooling, and raw materials used in manufacturing operations. This role helps ensure compliance with company financial policies, maintains optimal service levels for production, and supports continuous improvement through team leadership, data analysis, planning, and cross-functional coordination.

This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with strong problem-solving skills, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
