is seeking an experienced Test Equipment Engineer to maintain, calibrate and improve testing methods across the electronics manufacturing area. The role requires hands-on work with CVI, LabVIEW, VB, C++, PLC and AOI/vision systems to ensure product quality and process reliability. You will collaborate with product engineers, quality and manufacturing staff, document procedures, train junior staff, and contribute to cost‑reduction initiatives while

Formación

• Engineer with 5+ years in manufacturing electronic boards.
• Strong programming experience in CVI, LabVIEW, VB, C++, PLC.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (80%).
• Experience with automated inspection equipment (AOI, vision systems) and ICT/testing equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain test equipment and support electronics area.
• Establish, implement and maintain testing methods and systems.
• Research and develop new testing methods, design equipment, and improve procedures.
• Provide manufacturing cells with written test procedures and reference parts lists.
• Contribute to recording actions on test equipment for performance improvement.
• Provide technical assistance to product lines for manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate support for junior technicians and engineers.
• Define testing policies and budgets for the area.
• Approve test plans and final validation for product release.

Responsibilities

• Maintain functional test equipment and support the electronics area.
• Establish, implement and maintain testing methods, equipment and systems for products within the area of responsibility.
• Research and develop new testing methods, design equipment and systems, and improve testing procedures.
• Use quality reports from the department to measure test equipment performance and implement improvements.
• Provide manufacturing cells with precise written test procedures, maintenance routines and reference parts lists for use in manufacturing documents.
• Contribute to recording actions on test equipment and departmental projects for performance improvement.
• Provide technical assistance, services and support to product lines for manufacturing processes.
• Document projects in accordance with active lineages and implemented formats.
• Implement actions necessary to meet or exceed cost‑reduction targets within the area of responsibility.
• Act as a responsible team member with product engineers, quality and manufacturing staff to maintain high quality and productivity.
• Assist in developing and training manufacturing personnel for product operation and testing.
• Comply with safety policies, regulations and applicable procedures.
• Coordinate support and actions for junior test technicians and engineers.
• Define testing policies, standards and methodologies for the entire area.
• Allocate personnel, approve time and prioritize projects.
• Approve testing investment and budgets for the area.
• Approve test plans and final validation results for product release.

Qualifications – Basic

• Engineer in Electromechanics, Mechatronics, Electronics or similar fields.
• Corrective and preventive maintenance of test equipment.
• Availability to support weekend and various shifts.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in manufacturing assembly of electronic boards.
• Programming experience in CVI, LabView, VB, C++, PLC.
• Analytical problem‑solving skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (80%).
• Experience with automated inspection equipment (AOI, vision systems for TH).
• Experience programming ICT and functional test equipment.

Qualifications – Desired

• Experience in test equipment integration.
• Knowledge of communication protocols: RS232, I2C, TTL.
• Visa to travel to the US.
• Knowledge of statistical methods for performance analysis and improvement of test equipment.
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
