Oferta confidencial in Mexico seeks a Quality/Test Engineer to support electrical and functional testing of electronic products, ensuring compliance with quality requirements, specs, and medical device standards.

You will participate in NPI, new process implementations and testing activities, develop procedures, analyze results, and troubleshoot issues. Advanced English required; hands-on testing in electronics and measurement equipment knowledge are essential.

Formación

• 1–2 years of experience in Quality/ Test Engineering or related roles.
• Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably medical device or electronics.
• Hands-on experience with electrical, functional, and/or electronic product testing.
• Experience with measurement equipment and data analysis.

Responsabilidades

• Perform and support electrical, functional, and performance testing of products.
• Develop and maintain test procedures, work instructions, and testing protocols.
• Support NPI and new manufacturing processes from a quality perspective.
• Participate in validation and qualification of test equipment and methods.
• Analyze test results, identify trends, deviations, and improvement opportunities.
• Investigate and support resolution of product and process failures, including root cause analysis.
• Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
• Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, Quality, and Production teams.

Support quality activities related to electrical testing, functional testing, product and process validation, ensuring that products and manufacturing processes meet quality requirements, technical specifications, and applicable standards.

Actively participate in NPI, new process implementation and improvement, development and execution of testing activities, analysis of test results, and troubleshooting of issues related to electronic products and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and support electrical, functional, and performance testing of electronic products and components.
• Develop, document, and maintain test procedures, work instructions, and testing protocols.
• Support the implementation of new products and new manufacturing processes (NPI) from a quality perspective.
• Participate in the validation and qualification of test equipment, fixtures, tools, and test methods.
• Analyze test results and identify trends, deviations, and improvement opportunities.
• Investigate and support the resolution of product and process failures, including root cause analysis.
• Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities, using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa, Pareto, and 8D.
• Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, Quality, and Production teams to resolve product and process issues.
• Support the definition and monitoring of acceptance criteria, specifications, and testing requirements.
• Generate and maintain quality documentation related to products, processes, and testing activities.
• Participate in failure investigations and product analysis, documenting findings and follow-up actions.
• Support statistical process control, data analysis, and trend monitoring activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and applicable quality requirements for medical device manufacturing.
• Support internal and external audits related to quality processes, products, and testing activities.

• 1–2 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Test Engineering, Quality Assurance Engineering, or related positions.
• Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably within the medical device or electronics manufacturing industry.
• Hands‑on experience with electrical, functional, and/or electronic product testing.
• Experience using electronic measurement and diagnostic equipment.

Technical Knowledge

• Fundamentals of electronics and electrical circuits.
• Electrical and functional testing.
• Electronic product testing and troubleshooting.
• Ability to interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Experience with measurement equipment such as:
• Multimeter.
• Oscilloscope.
• Power supplies.
• Signal generators, preferably.
• Failure analysis and troubleshooting.
• Quality tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa, Pareto, 8D, CAPA, and others.
• Basic knowledge of SPC, data analysis, and process control.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in medical device manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 and medical device quality systems.
• Experience with NPI / New Product Introduction processes.
• Experience with process and test method validation.
• Knowledge of Minitab or other statistical analysis tools.
• Experience with test fixtures and automated testing equipment.
• Familiarity with regulated manufacturing environments.

Language Skills

• Advanced English proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to read, interpret, and prepare technical documentation, procedures, specifications, and reports in English.
• Ability to participate in meetings and collaborate effectively with global teams.
