Placements24 is seeking an experienced Automotive Diagnostic Technician to provide expert remote diagnostics and guide on-site technicians across Mexico. You will analyze complex codes, interpret service bulletins, and lead remote troubleshooting to minimize downtime while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

This role requires 5+ years of hands-on diagnostic experience, ASE L1 preferred, strong electrical knowledge, and excellent communication skills for remote interaction.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote diagnostic support for a wide range of automotive issues.
• Analyze diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and technical data to identify root causes.
• Guide field technicians through complex repair and diagnostic procedures via phone, video calls, and digital platforms.
• Interpret technical service bulletins (TSBs) and repair manuals to assist with problem resolution.
• Document all diagnostic findings, recommended actions, and resolutions accurately.
• Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to provide feedback on product performance and recurring issues.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective and timely remote support.
• Assist in developing and updating diagnostic guides and knowledge base articles.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; ASE certifications (e.g., L1) strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience as an automotive technician with a strong focus on diagnostics.
• Proficiency with advanced automotive diagnostic software and hardware.
• Excellent understanding of vehicle electrical systems, engine performance, and drivability issues.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for remote interaction.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and troubleshoot under pressure.
• Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace suitable for remote work.
• Experience with remote support platforms and virtual collaboration tools is a significant advantage.
