Placements24 is seeking an Advanced Automotive Diagnostic Technician for an on-site role in Cancún, Quintana Roo. You will use state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve complex issues across a wide range of vehicle makes and models, ensuring safety and performance.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience diagnosing and repairing complex electrical/electronic systems, ASE certifications, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ASE certifications are highly desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of experience diagnosing and repairing complex electrical and electronic systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software platforms and vehicle communication protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth diagnostics on engine, ABS, SRS, and climate control systems.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and factory scan tools to pinpoint issues.
• Interpret technical service bulletins (TSBs) and repair manuals to guide procedures.
• Perform repairs, including component replacements and system adjustments.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair effectiveness and ensure vehicle performance.
• Maintain accurate and detailed repair orders, documenting all findings and services.
• Keep abreast of new automotive technologies and diagnostic techniques.
• Communicate diagnoses and recommendations to service advisors and customers.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and workshop procedures.

Our client, a premier automotive service center located in the tourist hub of Cancún, Quintana Roo , is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Automotive Diagnostic Technician. This is an on-site position where you will be at the forefront of vehicle repair, utilizing state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve complex issues across a wide range of vehicle makes and models. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of automotive electronics and systems, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. You will be essential in ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our clients' vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth diagnostics on complex automotive systems, including engine, transmission, ABS, SRS, and climate control.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and factory-level scan tools to pinpoint issues.
• Interpret technical service bulletins (TSBs) and repair manuals to guide diagnostic and repair procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; ASE certifications (A1-A8, L1, L2) are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an automotive diagnostic technician.
• Proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing complex electrical and electronic systems in modern vehicles.
• Proficiency with various diagnostic software platforms and scan tools.
• Strong understanding of engine management systems, CAN bus networks, and other vehicle communication protocols.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workshop environment.
• Must be able to work on-site in Cancún, Quintana Roo .
