Scania México in Veracruz is seeking a trainee mechanic to learn the craft while supporting technicians with vehicle maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring safety standards are met and work is accurately stamped.

You will check tools, retrieve parts, apply work methods, perform visual inspections, manage deviations, and finalize work orders, contributing to continuous improvement within the workshop.

Formación

• Minimum one year in a similar position.
• Experience with diesel and/or gasoline engines.
• Knowledge of Scania products and services.
• Knowledge of DOS, DCS, SRS, and SHE standards.

Responsabilidades

• Assist technicians with vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Ensure stamping of completed work.
• Maintain workflow by confirming finished work.
• Implement improvement proposals.

Job Description

Ensure customer satisfaction through preventive maintenance tasks, while learning the profession and developing skills to achieve more complex maintenance and repairs, complying with all safety standards in the workshop.

Responsibilities

• Ensure support to technicians for vehicle maintenance or repair.
• Guarantee the correct stamping of the work being performed.
• Ensure process flow by communicating that the work has been finished.
• Achieve the implementation of improvement proposals

TASKS

• Check availability of tools and parts to be used, retrieve them from the warehouse.
• Check availability of maintenance information.
• Ensure application of work methods.
• Perform visual inspections of the vehicle.
• Manage any deviations that arise.
• Wash parts and components.
• Start the work order.
• Prepare the vehicle or component.
• Search for information in the system.
• Perform maintenance.
• Finalize stamping.
• Clean the work area and return used tools.
• Finalize work order.
• Communicate to the workshop manager that the assignment is finished.
• Communicate deviations.
• Propose solutions.
• Follow up on established improvement plans.

EDUCATION

• High school, preparatory or technical degree completed.
