Scania México is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance tasks and support workshop operations, ensuring safety standards are followed while learning the profession and developing skills for more complex maintenance and repairs. The role focuses on stamping accuracy, workflow communication, and implementing continuous improvements.

Formación

• High school, preparatory or technical degree completed.
• One year of experience in a similar position.
• Diesel and/or gasoline engine knowledge.
• Knowledge of Scania products and services.
• Familiarity with DOS, DCS, SRS and SHE standards.

Responsabilidades

• Assist technicians with vehicle maintenance or repair.
• Ensure proper stamping of completed work.
• Communicate when a job is finished to ensure workflow.
• Propose and implement improvement proposals.
• Check availability of tools, parts and maintenance information.
• Perform visual inspections and address deviations.
• Clean and prepare vehicles or components for the next steps.
• Close and finalize work orders, and report to the workshop manager.

Job Description

• Ensure customer satisfaction through preventive maintenance tasks, while learning the profession and developing skills to achieve more complex maintenance and repairs, complying with all safety standards in the workshop.

Responsibilities

• Ensure support to technicians for vehicle maintenance or repair.
• Guarantee the correct stamping of the work being performed.
• Ensure process flow by communicating that the work has been finished.
• Achieve the implementation of improvement proposals

TASKS

• Check availability of tools and parts to be used, retrieve them from the warehouse.
• Check availability of maintenance information.
• Ensure application of work methods.
• Perform visual inspections of the vehicle.
• Manage any deviations that arise.
• Wash parts and components.
• Start the work order.
• Prepare the vehicle or component.
• Search for information in the system.
• Perform maintenance.
• Finalize stamping.
• Clean the work area and return used tools.
• Finalize work order.
• Communicate to the workshop manager that the assignment is finished.
• Communicate deviations.
• Propose solutions.
• Follow up on established improvement plans.

EDUCATION

• High school, preparatory or technical degree completed.

JOB PROFILE

• One year in a similar position.
• Diesel and/or gasoline mechanics.
• Knowledge of Scania products and services.
