Molex is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead strategic engineering projects for the Optical Solutions unit. You will drive cross‑functional initiatives from concept through implementation, coordinating engineering, operations and business teams to translate customer needs into executable plans and measurable outcomes.

As a Technical Project Manager, you will lead strategic engineering projects that support the growth of Molex's Optical Solutions business. This role is responsible for driving cross‑functional initiatives from concept through implementation, ensuring successful execution of new products, capacity expansion efforts, and automation projects that create value for customers and the business. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and business teams to translate customer requirements into executable project plans while managing scope, timelines, resources, and risk.

Your Job

As a Technical Project Manager, you will lead strategic engineering projects that support the growth of Molex's Optical Solutions business. This role is responsible for driving cross‑functional initiatives from concept through implementation, ensuring successful execution of new products, capacity expansion efforts, and automation projects that create value for customers and the business. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and business teams to translate customer requirements into executable project plans while managing scope, timelines, resources, and risk.

You will join the Optical Solutions Business Unit, a collaborative engineering organization focused on optical connectivity and transceiver technologies. Our team partners closely with customers and internal stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions while supporting business growth through operational excellence, technical expertise, and project execution.

What You Will Do

• Lead complex engineering and NPI projects that support business growth and customer success.
• Develop project strategies, timelines, resource plans, and risk mitigation approaches to ensure successful execution.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams and influence stakeholders to achieve project objectives without direct authority.
• Translate customer and business requirements into actionable project plans and measurable outcomes.
• Monitor project performance, budgets, schedules, and deliverables while providing executive‑level status updates.
• Drive alignment between engineering, operations, and business teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support automation and capacity expansion initiatives that improve operational capability and customer experience.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, problem solving, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Experience leading engineering, NPI, or project management initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing cross‑functional projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to develop project plans, manage priorities, and effectively communicate project status and risks.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Degree in Photonics, Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience with optical connectivity, optics, transceivers, or related technologies.
• Experience leading global or highly complex engineering projects.
• Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project.
• Proven ability to influence technical teams and drive results without direct reporting relationships.
• Experience preparing executive summaries, budget tracking, and customer‑facing project communications.
