Provident México is seeking a Principal Cloud Engineer to lead operational management of cloud teams in Puebla. You will guide engineering groups and suppliers in cloud-hosted environments and act as the market technology leader representing Cloud & DevOps.

Requirements include a 5+ year track record in cloud engineering, strong English, and a bachelor’s degree in a related field. The role focuses on cloud platform reliability and transformative initiatives across Home Credit and Digital brands.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance or related field.
• Proficient in full professional English.
• 5+ years of experience in operating cloud engineering teams and practices.
• Proven track record with AWS deployments and cloud transformations.
• Experience migrating legacy assets to cloud-native technologies.

• Foster knowledge sharing across teams, suppliers, and cross‑functional practices.
• Investigate and resolve issues in cloud infrastructure and core systems; ensure reliability.

FOR EXPANSION WE ARE LOOKING FOR: PRINCIPAL CLOUD ENGINEER

Location: Puebla

The Challenge:

To provide operational management to Cloud Engineers around them, and enhanced engineering support to the Home Credit and Digital brands in the absence of required skills by the existing technical community.

Key Roles and Responsabilities:

Act as the senior technical leader in their market of operation, providing guidance and direction to engineering teams and suppliers in cloud hosted environments.

The role holder will provide direct guidance and advise IT functions accordingly in all matters related to cloud hosting and the associated technologies. The Principal Cloud Engineer shall also act as the technology leader in market on behalf of, and in expectations, of the Group Head of Cloud & DevOps.

Own and manage the group cloud platforms, ensuring they are maintained for full operational use by the Home Credit and Digital brand internal IT teams.

Facilitate knowledge sharing within internal teams, suppliers, and cross-functional practices, and contribute to the development of internal resources.

Investigate, and resolve issues relating to cloud infrastructure, networking, and core business systems. Provide timely and effective support to maintain system reliability.

What We\'re Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance or related field

Experience and Skills:

• Solid experience in operational management of Cloud Engineers and engineering practices (5+ years)
• Proven track record in AWS service deployments and evolving legacy estates through transformation programs.
• Experience migrating legacy assets to cloud native technologies.
• Solid experience in SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS with AWS.
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps Pipelines, and IaC template writing and deployment.
• Familiarity with the Software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevSecOps models, and Agile development practices.
