Descripción de la vacante

Vertiv is seeking a Quality Engineer to drive data analytics and supplier quality initiatives across the Americas. You will lead cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions, observe supplier installations, and document improvements.

Responsibilities include PPAP, supplier audits, 8D reports, and collaboration with Engineering, Service, Manufacturing, Sales, and Offering Management to resolve issues.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree required with 3-5 years of equivalent experience.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead corrective actions through problem solving and verify effectiveness.
  • Visit suppliers to observe installations and document improvements.
  • Request and approve PPAP documents from suppliers.
  • Perform on-site supplier audits and score QA systems.
  • Develop 8D reports and supplier reports on issues.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Service, Manufacturing, Sales and Quality to resolve issues.
  • Support NPDP projects and ensure risk management plans are in place.
  • Create warranty analytics for the Americas using Excel, SQL and Power BI.

  • Support determining the data driven top supplier field issues list, verify an owner is assigned and status is reported weekly.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions through problem solving process. Evaluate completed corrective actions and ensure effectiveness of actions. Recommend appropriate remedial activities.
  • Visit suppliers to proactively see installations and document improvement needs. Visit suppliers to understand the nature of the issue and get definite corrective action initiated in the organization.
  • Request and approve PPAP documents from suppliers
  • Evaluate potential new suppliers by conducting on-site audits and scoring of Quality Management System
  • Present reports to organization regarding Quality performance. Present status updates on various quality initiatives to business management.
  • Develop 8D and Supplier reports on reported issues. Communicate internally and externally on outcomes of investigations. Work with internal teams, including Engineering, Service, Manufacturing/Operations, Sales, Offering Management, and Supplier Quality to resolve quality issues impacting suppliers.
  • Execute Quality Engineering responsibilities on New Product Development projects, participating on New Product Development Process (NPDP) teams, tracking issues, and ensuring effective resolution. Ensure risk management plans are in place when issues are identified.
  • Create analytic reporting around warranty data for America’s LOB using Use Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
  • Support Warranty administration as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Minimum Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required with 3-5 years of equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Solid experience in a quality engineering environment.
  • Previous data analytics and reporting experience.
  • Data entry proficiency.
