Descripción de la vacante

Vertiv is hiring in Mexicali for a manufacturing/industrial engineer focused on process definition and readiness. You will drive layout, line balance, material presentation, tooling, and FPY, while selecting equipment and supporting capital justification.

You will monitor KPIs, lead cost-reduction projects, apply SMED and Poke-Yoke, and perform root cause analyses while training teams and advancing continuous improvement at every monthly cadence.

Formación

  • Engineering degree in industrial, mechanical, aerospace, or automotive field.
  • +5 years in metal mechanic processes and manufacturing.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
  • Lean manufacturing expertise and Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
  • CAD proficiency in SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA or ProE.

Responsabilidades

  • Define process; ensure manufacturing readiness with layouts, line balance and tooling.
  • Lead equipment/technology selection and capital justification.
  • Track KPIs: scrap, materials, changeovers, standard hours.
  • Drive cost-reduction projects and lean system implementation.
  • Perform root cause analyses; implement preventive actions.
  • Lead safety, ergonomics, and job safety analysis initiatives.
  • Provide training on critical operations and routing structure.
  • Deliver continuous improvement ideas monthly; manage layout control.

Qualifications
  • Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace or Automotive Engineering degree
  • +5 years of experience on Metal Mechanic Processes such as Punch Press, Bending, Forming, Welding, Brazing, Paint, Fastening, Assembly, Electronic or Harnesses processes.
  • MRP / ERP
  • Lean Manufacturing or Lean Practitioner
  • Six Sigma – Green Belt or higher desired
  • CAD fluent – Solidworks, Inventor, CATIA, ProE
  • Blueprint Reading – GD&T Desired
