OPmobility seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer - Battery to lead supplier development, APQP/PPAP, and on-site reviews, ensuring quality and cost targets are met across the battery supply base.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering with at least 3 years in automotive quality/engineering, plus strong communication skills and expertise in measurement systems analysis.

• Hands-on APQP and PPAP experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and knowledge of GD&T.
• Gauging and Measurement Systems Analysis.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Certified Quality Engineer (ASQ-CQE) and/or Certified Quality Auditor (ASQ-CQA) a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Facilitate development of suppliers to meet Plastic Omnium Auto Inergy requirements.
• Develop and implement SOPA/APQP at supplier sites.
• Manage supplier development for VA/VE improvements in quality, cost, delivery.
• Support internal PO Auto Inergy customers (Program Teams, Manufacturing, Logistics).
• Evaluate suppliers and perform manufacturing assessments to build the supplier panel.

• Job Title : Supplier Quality Engineer - Battery
• Type of contract : Long-term, At-will
• Expected Hiring Date : Sep/Oct2026

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate development of supplier to meet Plastic Omnium Auto Inergy requirements - cost, quality, delivery, lean manufacturing, during supplier on site review, TS16949 (IATF 16949) evaluation, etc.
• Develop and implement Supplier Onsite Process Approval (SOPA/APQP)
• Manage supplier development activities to support VA/VE improvements in quality, cost, and delivery at suppliers.
• Support internal PO Auto Inergy customers (Program Teams, Manufacturing, Logistics, Commodity Buyers, PSQE)
• Evaluate supp.liers and perform manufacturing assessments to develop and support purchasing strategic supplier panel
• Support the Plastic Omnium Auto Inergy manufacturing plants with High Impact supplier issues, as needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile :

• Bachelor's degree required (Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, Technical or Business)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working at an automotive manufacturer or Tier I automotive within the role of quality or engineering
• Hands on experience in APQP and PPAP
• Ability to read blueprints and knowledge of GD&T
• Gauging - Measurement Systems Analysis
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• Certified Quality Engineer (ASQ – CQE) and/or Certified Quality Auditor (ASQ – CQA) and plus
