OPmobility in León, Mexico, seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer - Battery to drive APQP/PPAP processes and supplier development in a global automotive setting.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field, 3+ years in automotive quality or engineering, and CQE/CQA certifications are a plus. This is a long-term position with competitive salary and benefits.

• 3+ years of experience in automotive quality or engineering roles.
• Hands-on APQP and PPAP experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
• Gauging and Measurement Systems Analysis.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• ASQ CQE and/or ASQ CQA certifications are a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Facilitate supplier development to meet Plastic Omnium Auto Inergy quality, cost, and delivery standards.
• Develop and implement SOPA/APQP processes at suppliers.
• Manage supplier development activities to support VA/VE improvements.
• Support internal PO Auto Inergy customers (Program Teams, Manufacturing, Logistics, Buyers, PSQE).
• Evaluate suppliers and perform manufacturing assessments to support supplier panel strategy.
• Assist manufacturing plants with high-impact supplier issues as needed.

Contract Details

• Job Title : Supplier Quality Engineer - Battery
• Type of contract : Long-term, At-will
• Expected Hiring Date : Sep/Oct 2026

Responsibilities

• Facilitate development of supplier to meet Plastic Omnium Auto Inergy requirements - cost, quality, delivery, lean manufacturing, during supplier on site review, TS16949 (IATF 16949) evaluation, etc.
• Develop and implement Supplier Onsite Process Approval (SOPA/APQP)
• Manage supplier development activities to support VA/VE improvements in quality, cost, and delivery at suppliers.
• Support internal PO Auto Inergy customers (Program Teams, Manufacturing, Logistics, Commodity Buyers, PSQE)
• Evaluate supp.liers and perform manufacturing assessments to develop and support purchasing strategic supplier panel
• Support the Plastic Omnium Auto Inergy manufacturing plants with High Impact supplier issues, as needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree required (Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, Technical or Business)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working at an automotive manufacturer or Tier I automotive within the role of quality or engineering
• Hands on experience in APQP and PPAP
• Ability to read blueprints and knowledge of GD&T
• Gauging – Measurement Systems Analysis
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• Certified Quality Engineer (ASQ – CQE) and/or Certified Quality Auditor (ASQ – CQA) and plus
