Safran Aerosystems México, S. de R.L de C.V. seeks a production group lead to supervise a technical team focused on aviation repair work in Mexicali. You will motivate and develop technicians, coordinate with the Master Scheduler, and drive day-to-day operations to meet quality and safety standards.

The role requires Lean knowledge, strong leadership, and advanced English, with 2–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or repair shop environment. FAA awareness is essential.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field or equivalent.
  • 2–5 years of personal management experience.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen and continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations and quality requirements.
  • Experience supervising repair shop operations.

Responsabilidades

  • Supervise Repair Shop technicians performing tests and repairs per FAA and CMM requirements.
  • Ensure master schedule is executed and coordinate with relevant areas to resolve issues.
  • Manage technician time, training, attendance and labor utilization.
  • Train and motivate employees on work standards and procedures.
  • Lead efforts to improve production efficiencies and reduce cycle times.
  • Implement approved continuous improvement ideas from the team.
  • Ensure safety, health and environmental regulations are followed.

Descripción del empleo

Responsible of lead a production technical group supervising their assigned activities by motivating and developing their skills. Coordinate with Master Scheduler and other areas in order to give job status.

Capable to solving and handle day to day operations issues proposing improvements to workflow to enhance performance and maintaining quality and safety standards in shop.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Supervise assigned Repair Shop technicians performing tests and repairs on aviation units per FAA requirements and in accordance with component maintenance manual (CMM) requirements.
  • Ensure that schedule set by the master scheduler is executed. Handle issues, communicate and coordinate solutions.
  • Managing technician’s time, training, attendance and labor utilization.
  • Train and motivate employees in their work standards.
  • Supervise everyday working of department operating process and increase efficiency of workers.
  • Recommend methods to improve production efficiencies. Work to improve and develop processes to reduce cycle time.
  • Lead and implement approved continuous improvement ideas identified by employees.
  • Comply with all safety, health and environmental regulations as prescribed by law, company’s policies and regulations requirements. Pro-active in the Safran HSE standards and procedures within their daily work, staying alert to potential safety hazards when learning or implementing something new (skills and/or equipment).
  • Ensure that the work order information available in the ERP are correct and up to date.
  • Ensure quality and promote efficient operations of the line. Adherence to all quality standards and strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure that all repair supplies (equipment means, benches) are on hand for what is scheduled.
  • Ensure the materials needed for repair are within standard guidelines and procedures and ensure compliance with those procedures.
Education:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

Leadership:

2-5 years personal management and good interpersonal skills required

Certifications:

Knowledge of Lean.

Languages:

Advance English level

  • Digital and analog Electronic skills
  • Mechanical and Electromechanical skills
  • Knowledge of production and repair tools and benches - Instrumentation and measuring skills
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and understanding of Quality requirements
