Vertiv in Mexicali, Baja California is seeking a Quality Leader to supervise inspectors, technicians and auditors while ensuring adherence to ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100 and other standards. You will drive CAPA, lead root cause analysis and coordinate supplier and customer quality initiatives.

You will mentor staff, oversee documentation, perform audits, and collaborate with production to meet quality goals and improve yield and customer satisfaction.

Formación

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 3–5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Experience with quality management systems and quality improvement methodologies.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities Quality Leadership & Operations
  • Supervise daily activities of quality inspectors, technicians, and auditors on assigned shifts.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes to identify and address quality issues proactively.
  • Support production teams in maintaining product quality and achieving operational goals.
  • Lead containment activities for non-conforming materials and products.
Quality Systems & Compliance
  • Maintain compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, or other applicable industry standards.
  • Ensure proper documentation of inspections, audits, corrective actions, and quality records.
  • Participate in internal, customer, and third-party audits.
  • Monitor adherence to standard operating procedures and work instructions.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations using methodologies such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, 8D, and DMAIC.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurring defects.
  • Analyze quality performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects focused on scrap reduction, yield improvement, and customer satisfaction.
Team Leadership
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop quality personnel.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate staffing and workload distribution to support production requirements.
Customer & Supplier Quality Support
  • Address customer quality concerns and coordinate responses to quality complaints.
  • Support supplier quality initiatives and evaluate supplier performance.
  • Participate in customer visits, audits, and quality review meetings.
Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience
  • 3–5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Experience with quality management systems and quality improvement methodologies.
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies:
    • Statistical Process Control (SPC)
    • Root Cause Analysis
    • FMEA
    • Control Plans
    • 8D Problem Solving
    • Lean Manufacturing
    • Six Sigma principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality reporting systems.
  • Experience with ERP and manufacturing systems preferred.
