Vertiv in Santa Catarina, Mexico, seeks an Engineer to manage engineering change orders and deviations across PLM and ERP systems, ensuring timely deployment in regional tools. You will refine DFMs and BOMs with Engineering, support SKU releases, and integrate CRs from manufacturing, operations, and quality.

You will validate drawings, 3D models, and schematics for correct fabrication, review PCCs for BOMs, and coordinate cross-department tasks while supporting the Change Control Board.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
  • 3-4 years of experience in manufacturing and mechanical processes.
  • 1-2 years of experience with ERP and PDM systems.
  • Advanced English, written and spoken.
  • Ability to build effective cross-functional relationships across locations.
  • Strong prioritization, urgency, and project-management skills.

Responsabilidades

  • Track COs and Deviations through PLM and ERP to ensure timely deployment.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to define and improve DFMs and BOMs.
  • Coordinate SKU releases and CO reviews with process owners.
  • Integrate Change Requests from manufacturing, operations and quality.
  • Generate and follow up Deviations per Fit, Form and Function analysis.
  • Validate drawings, 3D models and schematics for correct fabrication.
  • Review PCCs and define BOMs per production line capacity and layouts.
  • Assess COs and Ds impact and coordinate required tasks across departments.
  • Manage Change Control Board activities to implement changes effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Track the engineering Change Orders (COs) and Deviations through Integral Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and processes to ensure timely completion and deployment in multiple regional Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools.
  • Work with the Engineering team for the definition, modification and improvement of the products, in order to have an accurate Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
  • Work with corporate process owners on Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) release and COs peer reviews.
  • Understand and integrate Change Requests (CRs) originated by manufacturing, operations, and quality necessities.
  • Generation and follow up of Deviations (Ds) according to the Fit, Form and Function analysis.
  • Drawings, 3D models and schematics validation for the correct fabrication of the products.
  • Process Control Codes (PCCs) review and definition for the BOMs used in each production line according to the established capacity, capability and layouts of these.
  • Impact analysis of the COs and Ds that affect the Organization, coordinating and establishing the required tasks and activities that need to be carried out for each department.
  • Change Control Board (CCB) management for the excellent implementation of all the changes.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of experience in manufacturing and mechanical processes.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Product Data Management (PDM) systems
  • Advance English Level - written & verbal.
  • Ability to facilitate positive and effective cross-functional relationships across multiple teams and geographic locations.
  • Prioritization and urgency sense.
  • Strong leadership and project-management skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in HVAC, Liquid Cooling or Thermal systems, automotive industry, or electronic industry.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
  • The role is primarily placed in a manufacturing facility, requiring regular site visits and interaction with production teams.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.
  • The role involves 50% of administrative responsibilities and 50% of operational responsibilities.
