Job summary

Flowserve Corporation seeks a Senior Specialist to lead supplier development and performance-improvement initiatives across the procurement network. You will identify underperforming suppliers, drive PPAP reviews, and implement structured improvement plans with KPIs, partnering with cross-functional teams.

This role emphasizes Lean/Six Sigma methods, supplier onboarding and qualification, risk management, and travel to supplier sites to ensure compliance with quality standards and sustainability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 8+ years in supplier development, supplier quality, procurement, or related discipline.
• Demonstrated leadership in supplier-development initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of supplier performance management and continuous improvement.
• Well versed in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
• Experience conducting supplier audits and improvement projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Willingness to travel to supplier sites.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Procurement, Quality, Engineering, and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier-development initiatives to improve supplier quality, delivery, cost, capacity, certifications, process development, and compliance.
• Identify underperforming suppliers and establish structured improvement plans with defined KPIs.
• Support development and qualification of key suppliers’ capability and capacity for strategic initiatives.
• Drive supplier continuous-improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
• Provide supplier-development support for assigned Category Management and Divisional team initiatives.
• Act as a key escalation resource for supplier-performance issues and support root-cause corrective actions.
