MKS Instruments, Inc. in Veracruz, Mexico is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead the purchasing function and coordinate with engineering and manufacturing to maintain inventory targets and ensure timely material delivery.

The role directs buyers and expediters, negotiates major contracts, develops policies, and ensures compliance with export controls. A BS degree and 5+ years in procurement are required; CPIM/APICS preferred.

Formación

• English skills required and a Bachelor’s degree
• CPIM and/or APICS certification preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of related procurement experience

Responsabilidades

• Plans and implements procurement activities for materials, parts, components, and equipment
• Directs buyers and expediters to achieve company objectives
• Reviews and approves purchases up to a specified dollar amount
• Negotiates major contracts involving large dollar amounts
• Develops policies and procedures for procurement operations
• Monitors cost, schedule, and performance of major subcontracts
• Coordinates purchasing with engineering and manufacturing to maintain inventory at planned levels
• Assists with establishment and maintenance of the production control system
• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure efficient operation of the function

Educación

Bachelor’s degree

CPIM/APICS certification preferred
