Job summary

OPmobility SE in Nuevo León seeks a Purchasing professional to lead sourcing for new product development. You will serve as the purchasing representative within Program Core Teams and coordinate with Category Managers to engage suppliers early.

This role drives cost analysis, supplier selection, negotiations, and timely, high‑quality deliveries. You will work cross‑functionally to align procurement with program milestones and KPIs, using SAP and global processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Management, Quality, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or Project Management.
• Master's degree or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years purchasing experience in automotive industry.
• Knowledge of commodity cost drivers and global supplier panels.
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
• Regional experience with internal stakeholders mandatory.
• Experience with SAP is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as purchasing representative within Program Core Teams for new product development phases.
• Manage procurement, sourcing and supplier-focused activities to buy parts and tools.
• Drive implementation of purchasing and commodity strategies and supplier qualification.
• Perform full sourcing activities from RFI/RFQ to supplier contracting and negotiations.
• Ensure transparency of project status and KPIs across the purchasing organization.
• Support risk analyses related to material availability and supplier performance.
