Job summary

The position emphasizes statistical forecasting, software tools, and collaborative planning to deliver accurate, consensus-driven demand plans in a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or experience equivalent.
• APICS or other forecasting Certification preferred.
• Must be fluent in English and able to report in English.
• Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting, and forecasting methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons.
• Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data and models.
• Coordinate cross-functional research to reconcile variances and refine forecast models.
• Interact with sales, marketing, and customers to understand demand drivers.
• Use a collaborative approach with sales, marketing, and customers to ensure accurate forecasts.
• Use Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting tool.
• Provide input to the Supply Planning organization on inventory strategies.
• Coordinate and communicate action plans with supply planning.
• Create and validate statistical forecasts and models.
• Review sales plans and latest estimates and demand drivers.
• Present feedback on forecasts to sales and finance and assess it.
• Recommend adjustments for operational forecasts and achieve consensus.
• Prepare materials to facilitate research and discussion.
• Provide input to volume planning and yield meetings.
• Facilitate and manage demand planning/customer meetings.
• Enter and modify data ensuring correct product hierarchy.
• Monitor forecast error trends and market data.
