Job summary

Meeru Ai Inc. is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to own the application and API services layer that delivers platform computations to users.

You will design multi-tenant APIs, authentication/authorization, and audit trails, ensuring high correctness and enterprise-grade security for finance customers. You will lead end-to-end services, set backend patterns with Senior Staff engineers, and partner with data, AI, and product on cross-layer contracts.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years in backend forward deployment engineering with staff-level ownership of complex production services.

Responsibilities

• Own the multi-tenant APIs through which the platform's results are consumed.
• Build review, approval, and exception-handling workflows for finance teams.
• Maintain multi-tenant isolation with authentication, authorization, and RBAC.
• Construct the audit trail linking user actions to computations and sources.
• Enable multi-cloud, tenant-ready deployment in customer environments.
• Own performance, reliability, and cost with observability and health checks.
• Set backend patterns, review designs, and mentor mid and senior engineers.
