Job summary

LawnStarter is seeking a staff-level software engineer to own AI-powered initiatives end-to-end, from problem framing to production, alongside PMs and designers. You’ll guide AI agents to produce production-ready code, balance risk with strong tests, and drive measurable outcomes in a fast-growing on-demand marketplace.

You’ll operate with high autonomy while maintaining guardrails, reviews, and cross-functional collaboration. This is a remote-friendly role with broad impact across platforms.

Qualifications

• Deep skill in at least one stack with production experience.
• Experience shipping in a live marketplace with AI agents.
• Strong ownership and autonomy in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own initiative end-to-end from problem framing to production.
• Direct AI agents to implement code and ensure correctness.
• Collaborate with PM and designer and review with EM.
• Ensure deployment quality with tests, evals, and rollout gates.
• ship outcomes with metrics review 2–4 weeks post-launch.
