SSOE is seeking a senior BIM/3D CAD specialist to lead the development and standards for complex industrial and high-tech facilities. You will manage CDE, BIM workflows, and coordination across disciplines, with emphasis on AI-enabled processes and digital tools.

Hybrid work model in Mexico, US and India supported, offering extensive benefits and ongoing training. The role requires 11+ years in BIM or 3D CAD in professional firms and advanced English.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in architecture/civil engineering.
• Cédula and Título are mandatory.
• 11+ years of BIM or 3D CAD experience in a professional firm.
• Advanced capability with two or more VDC/BIM model authors (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Plant 3D).
• Experience with VDC applications (Navisworks, ReCap, Autodesk plugins).
• Proficiency with ACC/BIM 360, Office, BlueBeam, SharePoint.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develops technology execution strategy as it relates to project proposals and staffing estimates.
• Authoring and maintaining BIM Execution Plan (BxP).
• Develop BIM documentation and enforce workflow process standards.
• Ensure comprehensive project closeout, including documentation, final deliverables, and client satisfaction confirmation.
• Provide ongoing training and support to project team members, ensuring consistent adherence to BIM standards and best practices in the modeling environment.
• Facilitate BIM meetings and training.
• Facilitate and maintain relations with Client/AE/Trade/GC partners.
• Manage CDE configuration for projects, permissions for related design software.
• Setup and/or delegate Building Models/Templates according to client/company standards.
• Enforcement of Clash Detection and resolution process with disciplines
• Plan and perform model audits and health checks across a portfolio of projects and clients.
• Create automations and/or processes of data extraction of models/design files to minimize data re-entry.
• Define and communicate design software performance and functionality expectations across project teams.
• Research of new applications/workflows.
• Testing and rollout of software upgrades.
• Must be able to perform advanced software functions and to set and maintain project coordinates.
• Understanding and usage of software exchanges for design interoperability.
• Collaborate with disciplines on integration with analysis applications.
• Experience with automation w/in desired software platforms.
• Manage automations from the company software library.
• Troubleshoot software design issues and investigate new workflows.
• Manage content libraries set up and administration.
• Create families as needed.
• Manage shared parameters.
• Actively leverage AI and emerging digital technologies to enhance job performance and project efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture/civil engineering or equivalent bachelor’s degree.
• Cédula and Titulo are a mandatory request.
• 11 + years of BIM or 3D CAD work experience in professional firm setting desired.
• Advanced capability with two or more VDC/BIM model authoring software, such as but not limited to: Revit, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Inventor, etc.
• Capability with VDC applications software, such as: Navisworks Manage, ReCap, Autodesk Application Plugins (i.e. IDEATE BimLink or Model Explorer), etc.
• Skill with associated software: Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM 360, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), BlueBeam, or SharePoint.
• Demonstrated understanding of software/API customization is desired.
• Communication and facilitation in a team/group setting, including effective meeting planning is required, along with knowledge and understanding of design and construction process.
• Understanding various project delivery methods, Lean construction and Concurrent Engineering concepts are desired.
• Advanced English.
