H.B. Fuller in Monterrey, Mexico seeks a senior process engineer to lead scale-up activities, translate formulations into manufacturing instructions, and drive improvements.

The candidate will validate process parameters, support production, and implement CAPAs in collaboration with R&D, supply chain, and technical service. Required are advanced degrees in chemistry/engineering with strong experience in adhesives or coatings, plus Lean/Six Sigma exposure and SAP literacy.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry-related field with 6+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing and scale-up.
  • Master's degree with 4+ years of experience, or PhD with 2+ years, in relevant disciplines.
  • Experience in adhesives, polymers, coatings, or chemical processes.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead scale-up of new and existing products and translate formulations into manufacturing instructions.
  • Validate process parameters, equipment settings, and quality methods.
  • Investigate deviations, perform root-cause analysis, and implement CAPAs.
  • Provide technical support to production and participate in MOC activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement using statistical and process-control tools.
  • Manage raw material qualifications, evaluations, and substitutions.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Supply Chain, Product Management, and Technical Service.
  • Travel up to 10%.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead scale‑up of new and existing products and translate formulations into clear manufacturing instructions.
  • Validate process parameters, equipment settings, and quality methods.
  • Investigate deviations, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement CAPAs.
  • Provide technical support to production and participate in MOC activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement using statistical and process‑control tools.
  • Manage raw material qualifications, evaluations, and substitutions.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Supply Chain, Product Management, and Technical Service.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Polymer Science with 6 years of experience;
  • Master’s degree with 4 years of experience;
  • PhD with 2 years of experience.
  • Experience in chemical manufacturing and product scale‑up.
  • Background in adhesives, polymers, coatings, or chemical processes.
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma (DMAIC, 8D, FMEA, 5S).
  • Experience with 1K/2K polyurethane technologies (solvent‑based and solvent‑free).
  • Familiarity with analytical techniques (FTIR, DSC, viscosity, solids, etc.).
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish.
Work Environment
  • Work performed in both plant and office settings.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for sample handling.
  • Must follow all plant safety protocols and PPE requirements.
