Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Senior OPEX Engineer in Querétaro, Mexico. This role leads complex Operational Excellence initiatives, process improvement, data analytics, and digital transformation across EatonCare, partnering with cross‑functional teams to deliver sustainable results.

You will standardize methodologies, build Power BI dashboards, coach teams, and drive Lean Six Sigma projects from ideation to sustainment, applying governance, data quality, and strong communication with leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Operational Excellence, continuous improvement, data analytics, or process automation.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and process mapping.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Platform, and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex Operational Excellence initiatives from opportunity to sustainment.
• Own the design and governance of metrics, dashboards, dataflows, and datamarts.
• Translate business needs into scalable digital and process solutions.
• Establish standardized OPEX methodologies and governance.
• Lead cross-functional problem-solving using Lean, Six Sigma, data analysis, and project management.
• Define objectives, plans, risks, and stakeholder responsibilities for projects.
• Coach OPEX Engineers, analysts, and partners in process improvement and analytics.
• Facilitate Gemba Walks, Kaizen events, and leadership discussions to turn opportunities into actions.
• Serve as SME for OPEX processes and escalation point for complex challenges.
• Promote Eaton’s cultural model and leadership behaviors.

The role is responsible for identifying improvement opportunities, defining solutions, coordinating cross-functional implementation, and ensuring sustainable business results. This position serves as a technical and Operational Excellence subject matter expert, establishes standards and best practices, and coaches OPEX Engineers, Analysts, interns, and business stakeholders.
